Friday Night Delights- a rethink

Friday Night Delights- a rethink

Well, that was mad! We successfully ran two sell out Friday Night Delights, hand delivering 200 meals and cocktails to help demarcate the fun that is Friday from the rest of the week! We even raised over £200 for the Trussel Trust Food Bank here in Belfast.

There was so much work in the background, from Paul making the cocktails and his wee Facebook video shout outs, to our lovely local butcher for getting us what we needed (20kg of pork neck!!) and kindly chopping it up, right through to Sarah cooking up a storm in her Little Pink Kitchen whilst shielding, and making us all obsess over her chilli chocolate brownies… BUT we would particularly like to thank all our customers for getting involved in our Wahaca and Dishoom inspired nights. It was so lovely to see your delighted faces as we brought the bag of goodies to your front door step and the fabulous pics of you enjoying those Friday Night Delights.

Now as more and more restaurants open up and are providing their take away and cook at home options, we have decided to have a rethink as to what we want to achieve with Friday Night Delights. We want those restaurants, whose daily bread it is to serve you delicious meals, to thrive and we should be a conduit to that, not a competitor.

Don't worry, we will be back in some way or another in a few weeks once we have had a bit of time to reassess. It's been a tough few months as everything has changed around us and we try to create new experiences for you to enjoy in your own home.

In the meantime, you can find us over at Bottle to Boot with some lovely local beers, ciders and spirits for collection at the drive through or delivery service here in Belfast, there’s even coconut tequila, who knew that was a thing!? We also have Belfast Bakehouse sourdough, Mikes Fancy Cheese packs and Streetza Pizza Kits (as seen at Belfast Gin Fest) What more do you need!

If you want to be the first to know what we are up to next, stay in touch by signing up to our newsletter, the link is below.

See you soon and thank you again for your continued support!
